In Your Opinion, Who Are The Biggest Style Icons Today?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past ten years, you’ve certainly heard about the Met Gala, New York’s biggest night out, where fashion is so over-the-top that it’s really hard not to stop and stare. Beyoncé’s look… I think she absolutely nailed it. For her 8th appearance, Queen B graced the red carpet with a body-conscious dress: a diaphanous Olivier Rousteing creation. Don’t worry if you missed out on the action because the Cannes Film Festival is just around the corner, and the 10-day streaming event is basically what pushes style in bold new directions.

Most people don’t even get up before the wee hours. They fight the alarm clock until the very last minute, jump out of bed unenthusiastically, have a sip of coffee for better energy, and go to work. But not you. You always check the weather forecast and think about what your plans are work-wise. Because you may need to slip into something a bit different for dinner that night – jeans and some sort of top or an exquisite African print ensemble. When you find yourself saying, “Gee, I’ve got nothing to wear”, you find inspiration in style icons.

From Audrey Hepburn To Rihanna, Fashionistas Have Such A He Influence Over Us

Some folks’ fashion sense is hard to ignore. Jennifer Lopez has seldom strayed from her famed look: oversized sunglasses, a Hermès bag, towering heels, and lots of rhinestones. Plus, you’ll see her walking around in cozy tracksuits. You have undoubtedly already seen that, despite the intense pressure to follow trends, society’s elite does not do so mindlessly. They prefer a more DIY approach to dressing, and if A-listers can build a wardrobe from scratch, so can you, and there are plenty of staples to keep in mind – think little black boots.

It’s okay to wanna copy someone you admire. I’ll have to admit, I’ve never been Kim Kardashian’s biggest fan, but I can totally understand why someone would look up to her– let’s face it, Kim is the reason why half of us know what contouring is. If you still haven’t found your signature style, take inspiration. But don’t replicate outfits from Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and whatnot verbatim; dress as you go, so you have time to look in the mirror to make sure it’s working and how you feel.

Style Icons Don’t Just Dress Well – They Dress For The Rest Of Us

I think you’re onto something. You’re itching closer to 40 and still don’t have a clue about what you should throw on when you have no energy. Not to mention that each time you try to deal with the issue of personal style, it feels like torture: it’s easier to break down in front of your closet and whine about having nothing to wear than to scroll through fashion websites. So, before your next big life change, use a mood board to develop your own style. Inspiration is everywhere, and the most reliable resources are right at your fingertips.

Zendaya

Zendaya will reprise the role of Mary Jane in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is finally heading to cinemas on July 31, so don’t be surprised if you didn’t spot her at the Met Gala. She wrote the big five. But Chanel, Saint Laurent, Dior, Valentino, and Gucci would say, “No luck this time, but try again next year.” With stylist and creative partner Law Roach, Zendaya has made a name for herself as a confident, effortlessly put-together icon. Here’s what nobody tells you. The most stylish people of 2026 have moved past metallic armors to embrace textiles that tell a personal story, like Ankara fabric, which helps them feel seen.

Kendall Jenner

Like her sister Kylie and the rest of the Kardashian bunch, Kendall has an affinity for crystalline ensembles when stepping out into the night. When the supermodel launched her tequila brand, called 818, she threw a glittering party where she wore – surprise, surprise – jeans and a tank top, so the next time you realize you’re the only one underdressed at a party, think of Kendall Jenner. Her headwrap is a must-try look this summer. You can tie the scarf loosely around your waist, cinching your oversized trench coat to show off your figure and, of course, feel fabulous.

Harry Styles

I bet you’re still hoping One Direction will get back together. Harry Styles has been busy ever since the big break-up in 2016: he wanders around London (and Rome), turns football fans’ heads whenever he gets the chance, and basically does his own thing. All kidding aside, the former One Direction frontman can pull off just about any look, but before he shocked the Internet in 2020 wearing nothing but a leather Gucci look (and green feather bow), he was just a boy. Your style is a mighty tool for self-expression.

Sabrina Carpenter

Ex-Disney Sabrina Carpenter is no stranger to controversy. Even though her style is very sexy – think about her 2025 Man’s Best Friend album cover – Sabrina still comes across as a girl’s girl, flaunting cool outfits that might just inspire you to place your next order, like the light and breezy 2024 Valentino silk blouse and skirt. Dressing like Sabrina Carpenter will help you break out of your style comfort zone, but I dare warn you, it’s not gonna be easy. Pay no attention to the rules. You don’t need to wear high-waisted pants to fake longer-looking legs, and oversized T-shirts aren’t your arch enemies – even if you’re petite.

Lewis Hamilton

Besides Michael Schumacher, no one’s ever managed to score so many Grand Prix wins – 7 – or to break pole records – 104. Lewis Hamilton certainly knows how to dress himself, and this is obvious when you think about his looks throughout the years, like his podium-worthy look for the F1 movie world premiere, a sleek and sharp reinterpretation of the timeless bar jacket. Or do you remember when the top-tier motorsport driver showed at the Met Gala wearing a custom Blueberry look that honored the Welsh gardener, Alex Wharton? Look it up just in case.
